Welcome! About myself
I started flying back in 2002 when I was 16 out of Rochester, NY. My first flying experience was a demo flight in a 150. It was a windy day and the instructor said it might not be a good experience for me. Non sense I said and up we went. I remember the big smile on my face as we got bumped around and watching the crab angle of the airplane, at that point I knew flying was for me. I continued to fly there for about 7 hours but had problems getting my medical so I had to put my Private on hold.
About a year and a half later my medical had arrived and I was off to Embry-Riddle in Prescott, AZ. My first semester at college I got my Private at NorthAire flight school at KPRC. I idled for about a year and half flying maybe 6 hours until I started my Instrument. The IR was tough for me, it didn’ come natural to me and I just was not having fun, so I put that on hold.
My junior year in college I found my self not knowing where I was going, confuse, and just not enjoying my self. I decided to goto AirSafety Flight Academy in Glendale, AZ to become a professional pilot. So I left Prescott for Phoenix in May of 2006 with my Private and 62 hours under my belt.
I made it through my IR in the Cirrus but it was not easy for me. Instrument flying to this day is still just not my cup of tea. It took me about 8 months to build my time up to 250 and to learn the twin for my Commercial. I got my initial Commercial Multi in May of 2007.
I have completed my MEI Ground school and I have my Commercial Single Add on check ride in a few days. I can not wait to become a CFI, instructing is something that I really want to do.
